The application process requires a completed application form, a letter of recommendation from a current or former teacher, and a personal interview with the HAB scholarship committee.
The application is available on the HAB website, www.hawaiibroadcasters.com. The deadline for eligible candidates to apply is April 30.
Last year more than 20 students received awards ranging from $500 to $3,500 for study at schools in Hawaii and on the mainland.
Nearly $600,000 has been awarded to students since the program’s launch in 1994.
